Capital Renaissance International School (CRIS) is a multilingual, multicultural education program for children 6 weeks old to the 5th grade.
We are the only school in Baton Rouge to offer full language immersion learning in up to three languages: Spanish, French, and Chinese. Our unique curriculum is aimed at ensuring our children are linguistically, academically, and culturally prepared to succeed in a global environment. At CRIS, our students learn about the world without ever having to leave Louisiana!

Creating A Diverse Community of Learners
Multiple language acquisition by immersion is the foundation of the CRIS education model. In addition to immersing students in language and literacy, the educational program at CRIS integrates and emphasizes STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). Our founders envisioned this model as a primary means of encouraging global awareness and creating a diverse community of learners. Our students are taught a full curriculum in up to three additional languages in all core STEAM subjects.
Why Language Immersion?
Language immersion education develops children who are better prepared for….well, almost everything in life. Research shows early exposure to a second language enables more neural connections to form in a child’s brain, actually improving language skills in the first language.
