I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. My name is Soraya Duenas, and I am honored to introduce myself as the NEW Interim Head of Capital Renaissance International School. As a representative of our esteemed institution, I take great pleasure in extending my warmest greetings to you and the entire faculty, staff, and students at CRIS.

I began my professional career by teaching Pre-Kindergarten at age 18 in a private school and at age 20 I started my own Kindergarten. I have had 25 years teaching experience at different levels, from Pre-Kindergarten to Adults Education, both in private as well as in public educational systems in urban and rural areas of Colombia. I was selected by the Provincial Government of Antioquia as a rural teacher and lead a project to rebuild and be the only teacher at a school in risky and difficult access zone of the province. I have had also, the opportunity to work in the area of Spanish arts, dance, administrative educational projects and belong to cultural groups where I conducted radio programs on Afro – Caribbean Music.

As the Interim Head of CRIS, my foremost priority is to ensure that every student receives the best possible education and support. I strongly advocate an open-door policy, wherein I actively engage with parents, teachers, and students to understand their perspectives, concerns, and aspirations for the school. Collaborative efforts are key to building a strong foundation for the success of our students, and I am committed to fostering a culture of trust and cooperation among all stakeholders.

I firmly believe that partnerships between schools play a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience. I am eager to explore opportunities for collaboration, exchange programs, and joint initiatives that could benefit everyone involved. Our collective efforts can contribute to the overall growth and development of the education landscape in our community.
